Reducing belly fat is much more than just having flat belly, being able to fit in clothes and wear some particular style, feeling sexy or trying to impress anyone. The main reason or goal of loosing fat in any area of the body should be health benefits first before any other reasons. 

Belly fat poses a serious threat to your overall health causing serious health problemstype 2 diabetes, colon cancer, asthma, cardiovascular diseases and problems with functions of reproductive systems. It can be a long and exhausting process, but once you start it, don’t give up.

Am focusing on smoothie. Firstly what is a smoothie? A smoothie is a thick beverage made from blended raw fruit or vegetables with other ingredients such as water, ice, dairy products or sweeteners.

Here are five belly fat burning smoothies

1. Kiwi blend smoothie 

Ingredients:

  • 2 kiwi
  • 1 green apple 
  • A handful of spinach 
  • 1 leaf kale 
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed apple juice.

Direction: Combine the ingredients in a blender and process well until creamy. Pour in glasses and consume immediately.

2. Apple ginger blend


Ingredients 

  • 1 apple 
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree or papaya or mango 
  • 1 thumb ginger *grated*
  • 2 oranges 

Direction: Put the ingredients in a blender and process well till you get this tasty drink.

3. Berry blend

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup of raspberries
  • 1 apple
  • 4 mint leaves 
  • 1/3 pomegranate juice 
  • 1 tablespoon of crushed almonds

Direction: Put the ingredients in a blender and process well until you reach the desired blend

4. Mango blend

Ingredients 

  • 1/4 cup of mango cubes 
  • 1/4 mashed ripe avocado 
  • 1/4 of freshly squeezed mango juice 
  • 1/4 cup of fat free vanilla yogurt 
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice 
  • I tbsp of sugar 
  • 5 ice cubes 

Direction: all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy 

5. Peanut butter and banana blend 

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup of fat free milk 
  • 1/2 cup of fat plain yogurt 
  • 2 tablespoons of creamy unsalted peanut butter 
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 spoonful of honey 
  • 5 ice cubes 

Direction: ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
